The opportunity
William Morgan commissioned a film about Milo of Croton and progressive overload, based on a supplied scene-by-scene narrative. The story moves from the ancient training ritual to Olympic victory, modern strength culture, and a final return to Milo carrying the bull.
The film was planned for a roughly 120-foot seminar display, smaller event screens, and standard UHD presentation. Possible museum use was discussed, but is not presented here as a confirmed exhibition.
The production challenge
Extreme-wide formats change the way every scene must be composed. Important action, faces, and transitions cannot depend on a conventional center crop.
Historical atmosphere, character continuity, physical progression, and a clear emotional arc also had to remain consistent throughout the film.
The solution
Raffy developed the client's narrative into one 2:15 film, directing AI-assisted visual development, scene continuity, pacing, typography, voiceover, music, sound, and finishing. The story moves from Croton and the growing calf through the arena to a modern gym and its historical closing image.
Key scenes were widened or rebuilt for the 8640 × 1080 and 7200 × 1080 event versions, rather than stretching a standard frame. Production-team feedback led to further headroom and framing changes, plus 3840 × 2160 full-frame and letterboxed versions.
